Goal and Purpose:
This committee was formed as a response to the area of concern that we have presented by the Hoffman Group regarding the energy consumption of all our buildings. As presented to the congregation, a timely decision about the investment of Solar Energy panels for Camilla Hall needed to be made to meet current law standards that allow non-profits to take the investment tax credit (ITC) directly as a cash payment. For our IHM solar project, the payment from the IRS is 30% of the project’s cost after the system is put into operation.
