In September 1987 through June 2002, Sister Joseph Maureen taught Spanish at Notre Dame High School in Easton.  It was at Notre Dame that Sister worked and taught with the now Bishop Alfred A. Schlert who celebrated Sister’s Funeral Mass.

Sister served her final two years in a formal classroom setting at Immaculata High School in Somerville, NJ.  In August 2004 through September 2007, Sister taught in the Literacy Program at St. John Bosco in Hatboro.

Sister Joseph Maureen began her ministry as an active member of the Apostolate of Prayer at Camilla Hall in September 2007 and served faithfully, as always, until her death on June 22, 2021.

Her parents Charles and Dorothy (Mazzoni) Curran and her brothers-in-law Paul and John predecease Sister.  Her sisters Marilyn Dressel (Paul), Patricia McNamara (John) and her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews survive Sister.

Most Reverend Bishop Alfred A. Schlert celebrated Sister’s Funeral Mass and delivered the homily on Saturday, June 26 at 10:30 AM.  Reverend Donald McNamara joined Bishop at the altar.  May our dear Sister Joseph Maureen rest in peace.
