Spiritual Direction focuses on one’s religious experience. A spiritual director makes herself available to assist a person in noticing where and how God is moving in that person’s life at a particular time. Taking time for spiritual direction helps a person notice where God is in the everyday moments of one’s life as well as what is happening in one’s prayer. Spiritual Direction helps people understand how they are living their lives, what it means to be fully human and how they are living with compassion, mercy, justice and peace in our world. Spiritual direction is a way to incorporate what God is asking of us and how we are living in concrete ways in our world. It is all about growing in intimacy with God.
