Goal and Purpose:
In response to Chapter 2023 and in examining the needs of our time, the work of the Associates Study Task Force is to examine the feasibility of an IHM Associates Program.
Rationale:
Chapter 2023 calls us to examine ways of “collaboration with and for the mission.” This invitation challenges us to enter into prayerful dialogue as we imagine and claim a future that embraces collaboration in its many forms. The empowering of our lay colleagues as collaborators in spreading our IHM charism, and perhaps in the engagement of our ministries, calls us to examine the consideration of a formal lay program (N.B.: Analyzing our Companions in Prayer and Ministry will be necessary in this process).
