Sister entered the Community on January 19, 1988. Sister received her holy habit on August 14, 1988 and her religious name Sister Mary Lisa. Sister pronounced her First Vows on August 14, 1990.

Beginning in August 1990 through the school year ended in 2007, Sister Mary Lisa taught children in grades one through four in a variety of dioceses. Sister taught children in Shamokin, Philadelphia, Reading, Norfolk VA, Ashland PA, and Villas NJ.

Sister Lisa’s next assignment took her to Kulpmont in upstate Pennsylvania where she ministered at Our Lady of Hope Parish as the Director of Religious Education. While there, a need arose at nearby Lourdes Regional High School – for a Theology teacher. Sister fit the bill perfectly and in the fall of 2019 began teaching high school students.

Sister Lisa became ill at the start of the 2024 school year and left Lourdes for rest and treatment at our nursing facility, Camilla Hall. Sister’s health deteriorated rather quickly. While ever remaining joyful and upbeat, Sister Lisa ‘fought the good fight’ until her passing into heaven on June 19, 2025. Sister Maureen Ruth Weisglass, Sister Lisa’s sister, also suffered with cancer and died on June 21, 2023 – their Mom, Anna Louise Weisglass, suffered deadly cancer and went to heaven in 2022. The Weisglass Family is no stranger to the pain of loss.
