Planned Giving: Bequests & Estate Plans

The three most common ways to make a bequest are:

  1. donate a percentage of your estate (___% of my estate),
  2. bequeath a specific dollar amount ($ __specific dollar amount) or
  3. designate a residual or remainder of Your Estate. Residual refers to whatever is left after other bequests have been granted.

Sample language: “I give, devise, and bequeath to the Convent of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Malvern, PA or to Camilla Hall…

Your lawyer will require the tax identification number. If making the bequest to the Congregation, the EIN is 23-1352569.  If making the bequest to Camilla the EIN is 23-1576706.

Benefactors who choose to remember the Sisters of IHM/Camilla Hall in their wills are enrolled as members of the Alphonsus Ligouri Society. When the estate is settled and the gift is received, a mass is offered for you at Camilla Hall and you are perpetually enrolled in the Spiritual Treasury, sharing forever in the prayers of the IHM Sisters.
